An impressive choice of skiing on
five mountains surrounding the resort, including some 217 miles and
3,828 vertical feet of meticulously groomed slopes, provide a broad
array of choice for all levels of skiers. 70% of the trails are
intermediate, 10% are beginner and 20% are for experts. Also, there
are over 100 miles of X-country trails. St. Moritz, picturesquely
situated on a lake in the Engadin Valley, is fabled for its non-ski
activities, including people watching. We and Europe's aristocracy
will be in St. Moritz this coming ski season. For the brave,
bobsledding, luge and paragliding are available. Other activities
include ice-skating, horseback ridin9, indoor tennis, sledding on long
course, sleigh rides, chic shops, afternoon tea, sunbathing on
mountain restaurant decks, a casino, nightclubs and dancing. You will
also have the opportunity to do a day trip to Tirano, Italy on the
BERNINA EXPRESS, a spectacular train ride through the Alps. Lodging
will be in Superior rooms at the 3-star HOTEL LAUDINELLA that has a
wellness center with massage, sauna, steam bath and fitness equipment.
Swimming is available at the public hallenbad next door to our hotel.
You can, if you choose, dress casually for dinner in the hotel's five
individual dining facilities. Dinner buffet is served at STUVA; other
dining choices are FRENCH, SWISS, ITALIAN and ASIAN. This is more than
iust a ski trip; it's a winter vacation at a great alpine resort!
